Odorants of flexible polyurethane ↗

Gas chromatography–olfactometry of fifteen flexible polyurethane samples, a material used in upholstery and mattresses, identified 50 odorants from classes including tertiary amines, fatty acid oxidation products, short-chain aldehydes and pyrazines.

Eight common types of flexible polyurethane; finished furniture also contains woods, glues, finishes and textiles.
