Fuel evaporation in an underground garage ↗

In a large residential underground parking garage in Tianjin, volatile organic compounds averaged 362.7 μg/m³ against 63.2 μg/m³ outdoors and were positively correlated with traffic flow, especially in the daytime; tailpipe exhaust accounted for 43.2% and evaporative emissions of fuel vapour for 33.7% of them, and evaporation from the many parked cars for 69.3% at night.

One garage in China, with sources apportioned by a statistical model; it measures air composition, not odour.
